I had a miserable stay at this Embassy Suites. There is a labor dispute and protesters with sirens, drums, and loudspeakers woke me up at 7 AM while visiting for the World Cup. Hotel management was well aware of the situation but did nothing to communicate or address the problem this would create for guests. I spent $1,200 for two nights and couldn’t even sleep! The hotel should have notified me when I made the reservation that my room was immediately above the protest as there were no other options available (either in the hotel or in the surrounding hotels) by the time I arrived. To pay a premium and receive this level of service is not acceptable for a Hilton property. And the way the desk manager handled my concern was disrespectful. I did not create the issue and more of an effort should have been made to address the problem. I encourage other to avoid this property until the labor dispute is resolved.

One star — Should not be accepting guests right now Property was stolen from my room during the day — daily prescription medications, an Apple Watch, sunglasses, toiletries, and more. When I got back, a bed had been stripped and a blanket tossed on the other one — clear signs someone had been in my room going through my things. Staff were unhelpful when it mattered most. They wouldn’t help track down who entered my room while I was away, and wouldn’t help me rebook elsewhere when I no longer felt safe staying. The context is what makes this a one-star: the hotel is in the middle of an ongoing labor strike and is badly understaffed, but is still booking rooms at full occupancy with no warning to guests that housekeeping and security are compromised. A hotel that can’t safely staff itself shouldn’t be selling rooms as if nothing’s wrong. Stealing medication and valuables out of a guest’s room isn’t a minor lapse — it’s a failure of the one thing a hotel owes you. I wouldn’t stay again, and I’d check whether the strike is still ongoing before booking.

I booked this hotel expecting a quiet, relaxing stay, but instead I was woken up at 7 a.m. by striking workers chanting, drumming, and using noisemakers outside. The hotel never disclosed the ongoing labor dispute or the expected early morning noise before or during check-in. What should have been a restful getaway became a stressful experience. Future guests should be informed about the active strike before booking.

This place has had a strike outside of it for weeks. More annoying than the noises like sirens and drums that start at 7am and don’t stop until past sunset, is the hotels inability to pay its workers a fair and livable wage.

I am currently fighting for a refund after checking in at 1:30 am and being woken by their striking workers at 6:30. Stayed for a night. The workers of the hotel were on strike and woke up everybody at 6am. Hotel didn’t offer much help or seem to care. My kids woke up because of it.
Really disappointing. They promised they would do something but didn’t do anything……

Staff on strike and harassing guests
There is an active labor strike and the staff are illegally setting up drums, bullhorns and noisemakers to disturb guests at 6 am. Here is video from my stay this morning. I am currently fighting for a refund.
If only TripAdvisor would allow video, the pic does not do justice to how deafening the lobby was – I literally couldn’t be heard by the Hilton Honors line!

There is a strike happening right now and made it difficult to stay there with limited housekeeping services and loud demonstrations happening with drums, whistles and speakers at the front of the hotel until late and starting at 7am. It’s such a good location near the stadium though but if we knew about the strike we would not have booked it. Front desk staff is amazing and worked really hard to help everyone

We stayed for a week to watch Word Cup. Location for Lumen Stadium is the best you can have, the hotel is right next to it. Our first shock happened the first thing in the morning. We were woken up by the hotel staff that is on strike right now. They are apparently going through negotiations with the hotel regarding their new contract. Hotel is refusing to pay them more or give them enough hours so they can afford living in a very expensive city. When making reservations I had no idea that strike was going on. We didn’t sign up for listening striking workers the whole week of our stay although I sympathize with them. I would have switched the hotels if that would have been possible without loosing my money. Regardless I probably wouldn’t be able to afford current rates for the night. During the week we stayed the hotel was charging $1400 a night for a room and they can’t pay their workers a living wage. Service was slow and cleanness was not that great to justify the price we paid. The staff was working double shifts to keep up with guests and they did the best they could for being understaffed. The property is nice no question about it but if you don’t keep it clean it won’t look the best and it didn’t. The staff that was working was very nice and we appreciated their effort. Unfortunately, we felt that we didn’t receive services other customers did prior to the strike. Would I stay there under different circumstances I probably would.

Well we went for the World Cup and they didn’t inform us about the fact that all of the roads would be closed off to get to the hotel so we had to park at a parking garage to be able to check in and they also had some sort of strikers right outside the building at 6 am till we checked out which made it hard to sleep

Think before booking – their staff is currently (6/24/2026) protesting starting from 6:00 in the morning through the evening. I was on the 6th floor and woken up every morning by banging drums and chants from the protest in front of the entrance. I asked to relocate rooms and was told I can’t and that they wrap up early evening so it’s not a big deal.

When we arrived, the hotel employees were on strike, which was not disclosed to us before our stay. The room we were initially assigned was directly above the picketing area, where union workers were using megaphones, drums, and banging pots and pans. The noise began around 5:30 AM each day and continued until approximately 6:00 PM, making it nearly impossible to rest, sleep in, or even take a nap during the day. When we first approached the front desk for assistance, the staff was not helpful. We explained that the noise was excessive and that our room was directly above the strike activity. The only solution offered was a pair of earplugs, which was presented in a dismissive and somewhat ridiculing manner. We felt our concerns were not being taken seriously, especially considering we had paid for a hotel stay expecting reasonable peace and quiet. After escalating the issue, the General Manager did make an effort to address the situation and moved us to another room, which significantly improved our experience. I appreciate the manager’s willingness to help; however, guests should be informed in advance when there is an ongoing strike that may substantially affect their stay. Had we known, we may have chosen different accommodations.

There was an employee strike outside the whole time my family stayed, it’s suuuuper noisy even at higher floors. My parents kept getting woken up as early as 6am by the sound. Too bad, the hotel is in a convenient location and it would have been nice stay otherwise.

Absolute nightmare. Every single day, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the hotel staff were on strike right outside the main entrance. They were blasting sirens, beating drums, shouting, and banging on objects continuously. The deafening noise echoed straight into our room, making it absolutely impossible to get any rest or sleep. We traveled to Seattle specifically for the World Cup, and this situation completely ruined our experience. To make matters worse, the front desk staff were incredibly rude and dismissive. Whenever we complained about the noise, they simply shrugged it off, saying, “It is what it is, management needs to deal with it.” No accountability whatsoever. On top of that, there was zero room service. When we called to ask why our room hadn’t been cleaned, we were told, “We can bring you fresh towels if you want, but room service has already left for the day.” Hilton used to be the gold standard of hospitality, but this place was an absolute joke. Highly disappointed.

Not my favorite hotel. The sheets smelled like wet dog, the shampoo, conditioner smelled terrible, no toiletries, no minibar, the curtains were broken, the air conditioner sounded like a plane taking off every ten minutes, long waits at the elevator and the breakfast was sparse with questionable eggs. I did like the towels and the location, but Hilton seems to be cutting a lot of corners.

There is some kind of a employee strike going on in the front door of the hotel. They start at 0600 and stop around 2000. We are on the 8th floor and we can hear them banging on a drum and using megaphone. 1 star for the noice, 5 for location and service.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Embassy Suites Seattle due to the constant noise from protesters outside the hotel. The loud chanting, shouting, and noise continued for long periods and made it very difficult to relax, sleep, or enjoy the stay. While I understand the hotel cannot control public demonstrations, I expected better communication and support for guests affected by the disruption. A hotel stay should provide a comfortable environment, especially considering the price paid for the room. The location may be convenient, but the excessive noise seriously impacted my experience. If you’re looking for a quiet stay, you may want to consider whether there are any ongoing events or protests in the area before booking. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed here during the World Cup.
I can say as someone who came via train, this location could not be better. Literally the first building you see when you leave the train station and right next to the entrance to the Seattle Stadium.
Staff was friendly, though advertising a $9 bottle of Smart Water and giving your guests a complimentary check-in bottle of Dasani feels like a bad choice. Would probably have gone down better to give the Smart Water and advertise it as $9 to give it an added value.
My main issue was not being warned before arrival that there was an ongoing strike by employees of the hotel. There was a flyer at the desk at check-in going over it, but no one prewarned us that the striking employees started at 6:30am with drums, a megaphone, sirens, whistles, and shouting. This was fully audible in the room. Due to the World Cup, there was no option to relocate to another hotel. When we left the hotel in the morning of the match, members of the protest got very aggressive and in my face, screaming about checking out and demanding a refund. Again, not a practical option.
I have nothing against workers rights, but screaming at people who didn’t know and don’t have another choice isn’t doing any favors. This must have happened more than once, because the front door was locked the remainder of the day and guests directed to other doors.
The room was dusty, likely as a result of the strike. The sliding barn doors were insufficient to offer privacy while using the toilet or showering. Breakfast was pretty good.
I went with Embassy Suites based on past experiences and convenience and I wish I had been aware of the strike because I would have made different choices. Hilton and Embassy Suites should address the concerns of their employees, if for nothing more than guest experience.
10/10 for the hotel. 0 out of 10 to the annoying striking workers out front who said racialist things to me.

my stay was fine, i stay at embassy frequently, the room was clean, the service was good , the location was great. when i spoke with the strikers , they didnt work at embassy, they were hired by local 8 to strike. i guess thats their job, maybe the strikers can work for them until they find something else, i support unions but to what end, they raise wages then the employer raises room rates then people dont stay there then they close the hotel then they are unemployed.
Hotel and location are great. Would recommend to anyone staying in town. Wish the city would do something about the characters outside, but that’s not the hotels fault.
I’m a nearby resident, not a hotel guest, but I wanted to share my experience because this strike has seriously affected the surrounding neighborhood.
I fully understand that workers have the right to organize, negotiate, and peacefully protest. I have seen strikes before. But this does not feel like a normal or reasonable strike anymore. At this stage, it feels like this has gone way too far.
For weeks, nearby residents, hotel guests, visitors, and local businesses have had to deal with shouting, drums, megaphones, chanting, and constant disruption. People live here. People work from home here. Guests are paying good money to stay at the hotel. None of us are responsible for this contract dispute, yet we are the ones being forced to live with the consequences every day.
What makes it harder to accept is that, from doing basic public research, Embassy Suites Seattle does not appear to be paying wildly below-market wages for many of the roles involved. Public wage data and job postings suggest several Embassy Suites Seattle roles are competitive or above average. Some publicly listed roles appear to be around 4% to 30% above Seattle averages, depending on the position, and some roles appear significantly above national hotel-industry averages.
That does not mean workers cannot ask for a better contract. They absolutely can. But the level of disruption being forced onto everyone around the hotel does not seem justified by the public facts available. This now feels less like a fair labor action and more like a pressure campaign against guests, residents, visitors, and the surrounding neighborhood.
To me, it looks like the World Cup was used as leverage to create maximum disruption. That may be a strategy, but it feels deeply unfair and, at this point, immoral. Guests, residents, and local businesses should not be treated like collateral damage in a dispute they have nothing to do with.
I support fair treatment for workers. But I do not support weeks of excessive noise and disruption aimed at people who are not involved in the negotiations. This does not feel normal. It does not feel reasonable. It feels like it has crossed a line.
This is a great hotel it is just such a shame that strikers are outside it behaving erratically. It seems very desperate and from what ive seen there is now very little public support. People see them for what they are a nuisance.
You guys really suck disturbing everyone non stop. Embassy suites pays you higher than average wages for the jobs you do. If you have such a problem go get a new job instead of disturbing everyone. Low IQ fools
The hotel was really nice 10/10 location was perfect, room was clean. Exceptional service. I asked the front desk worker how much they were being paid and they said $30 an hour plus benefits. Which is great !
The strikers outside should seek other employment opportunities if that’s not enough. The World Cup is also no longer going on in Seattle so all of their bargaining power is gone. The strikers seem like brain dead crybabies.

Tournament is finished you sad clowns your power disappeared yet you kept up the endless loud rowdy chaos with drums megaphones and nonstop shouting like deranged failures throwing tantrums. Its revolting youre paid well for simple jobs but still sabotaged guests with your greedy incompetence. Hotel is well located. Rooms are updated and comfortable and the water pressure is awesome. As far as the strike goes it just seems like a typical Seattle event. It doesn’t seem like a serious strike but more like a group of poorly behaved children with drums and horns. They are harmless and should not interfere with your visit.
Embarrassment to unions. It’s been 4 weeks of intentionally disrupting the peace of third parties. All they want is more money. ICE has never even been to this hotel.
To the leaders allowing your followers to continue like this, shame.

The hotel is great. The strikers need to go work somewhere else if they’re unhappy with their pay, find somewhere else that pays better. The strikers actually don’t all even work for the hotel but for a union. It’s a shame the can’t be arrested for disorderly conduct.

You clearly don’t care about the guest experience, which directly reflects your attitude toward your job at the hotel. There doesn’t seem to be much pride in your work either. Why should Embassy Suites pay you more or make the job more convenient when you’re fundamentally not providing quality work?
You treat the job like a dead-end job, so you’re going to be treated like a dead-end worker. Honestly, the method this strike is using doesn’t seem appropriate for hotel workers. It probably would’ve ended long ago if the agitators had been a little smarter about their strategy.
You also have to be realistic about what you’re asking for. You can’t achieve those things overnight with one strike. Ask for one thing at a time so the demands seem reasonable and achievable. Asking for more hours, more staffing, and more money all at once may be too much to accomplish in a single strike for the jobs you have. You don’t have much leverage.
Life doesn’t just say “okay” because you cry long. Work smart, not just hard. But oh wait…

I’m very embarrassed for the “strikers”lol at this point they are going end up getting nothing. Which is fine because they are already over paid. They have only been milking this out because Washington state provides 6 weeks of unemployment benefits, so they haven’t felt any financial pain yet. Soon they will and this will end.
